Bedtime Stories Presents: The Rhythm of the Night
The night time is the right time on Wed. August 19, as Bedtime Stories makes its monthly appearance.
This month’s show is entitled “The Rhythm of the Night.” Host Gregg Gethard, along with the help of Philly’s funniest comedian type people, will explore the sordid underworld of nightlife. No stone will go unturned as we explore this topic. How does one answer a stranger who wants to do a shot of tequila off of your neck? What does one do when one accidentally stumbles into an illegal gay sauna? What’s the best way to sleep in Suburban Station when you realize the last train to Norristown has left for the evening?
Bedtime Stories also welcomes a special guest this month. His name is Miami’s Jose El Rey, a music sensation who has taken over South Florida (not literally). El Rey specializes in up-tempo retro 80s Miami music with a Cuban flavor. He also has a really sweet mustache.
8PM, $10, BYOB, Connie’s Ric Rac, 1132 S. 9th Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19147, gregg_gethard@yahoo.com.
