PODCAST: Jesse Thorn of The Sound of Young America

On this special episode of the podcast, I talk to Jesse Thorn, the host and creator of “The Sound of Young America,” a public radio show “about things that are awesome” and all of the other podcasts at maximumfun.org. We talk about how he began his shows, Pee-wee Herman and more.
And just as a note: Jesse recorded his side of the conversation on his microphone and sent it to me, so that’s why he sounds a lot more dynamic than my side. He has a better microphone.
Jesse will host a live version of “The Sound of Young America” this Wednesday at The Adrienne Theatre with live guests The Spinto Band, Kent Haines, Charles Burns (Black Hole) and Robert Hicks, PhD, director of The Mutter Museum. [show info]
